I'm quite used to people recommending that I should read a book, listen to an audio, watch a video on the net, or attend a webinar. I have a real thirst for knowledge, but these days it's all too easy to suffer from "information overload".

So when somebody does make a recommendation it gets added to my ever growing list. However when two people within two days recommend I check out the same guy, I tend to think, "Mike, the universe is trying to tell you something here, best watch the video."

I am so glad I did, and I'm so grateful to Lynn and Graham, because it has, quite literally, blown my mind, and got me right back on track. There are many, many videos out there on Marketing, but this one started off totally different to any that I've seen before.

The young man began by sharing his story. At the age of 19 he had been involved in a serious car accident, and his life hung in the balance. At that time he came to understand that there are three questions that we will ask at the end of our lives :-

Did I live ? Did I love ? Did I even matter ?

I thought about these questions for a moment - and then I thought , these questions are so profound, but why wait until our last hours before asking them ?. Why not ask them today ? In fact, why not make them the last questions we ask ourselves every night before we go to sleep ?.

Did I live ? Did I really live today ? Or was I too busy with worrying about the future, or regretting the past ?

Did I love ? Did I really love today ? Totally. Unconditionally.

Did I matter ? Did I really make a difference today ? Did I really make a contribution in the world ? Was I really of service to someone ? Or was I too concerned with my own survival and self-interest ?

The young man had a message to get out there to the world, and to do that he had to learn how to market himself, and his message. He studied hard, and more importantly put into practice what he had learned. He not only got his message out there, but he has built a $10 million dollar business, sharing the system, tools, and techniques he learned to help others build and market their own business - and here's the important bit - doing what it is they love to do.

I'll be studying hard over the next 90 days. I've already started to put into practice what I've learned. Because I'm not ready to hang up my boots yet, nor am I ready to give up on Wikaniko yet either. For me our Wikaniko business isn't just about selling a few bin bags, bottles of washing up liquid, or any of the other products in the range. Wikaniko is about getting our message out there, being of service, educating people, and really making a difference. Wikaniko is about finding, and partnering with people with a "service mindset", who are also passionate about making a difference, and working with them to get our message out there.

For me the process is simple :-

Make an Impact
Build the Brand
Be an Influence
Earn an Income

Once I've learned the tools and techniques, developed the systems, and proven them with results I'll be happy to share them with anyone in Wikaniko. But, in the meantime, if there is anyone out there who'd like to join me on this journey of discovery, and work with me to create and test out the ideas, and processes , I'd love to hear from you.

Mitakuye Oyasin

Mike P

Why Become A Wikaniko Distributor - 1

O.K.

So you don't need an additional source of income, and in any case you haven't got time to start a part time business.

So, why become a Wikaniko distributor ?

What if we could show you way in which you could save both time and money, and be able to choose from a massive range of eco-friendly products delivered direct to your door ? It would be worth taking a couple of minutes to find out more wouldn't it ?

You could become a Wikaniko distributor for an initial investment of just £48 in the first year, and £12 a year thereafter. This would give you an immediate saving of up to 25% on the retail prices of everything in the Wikaniko catalogue.

A family spending £10 a week on toiletries and cleaning products at the local supermarket who transfer that shopping to their own Wikaniko store could save £130 a year, and have the convenience of one order a month delivered direct to their door. How much do you spend each month ?

And of course it needn't stop there.

A group of friends, or work colleagues could come together to form a local Wikaniko eco co-operative, and make even greater savings.

Wikaniko is based on a simple, but powerful idea. If everyone in the U.K. were to go just a little bit greener, it would add up to a massive, positive change for the planet. With your help we can make this idea a reality.

For more information visit our team site at http://www.wikanikowarriors.co.uk/ or drop me an E Mail.

Mitakuye Oyasin

Mike P

Wikaniko - Scam or genuine opportunity ?

I was intrigued this week when, putting "Wikaniko" into the Google search engine it offered me the option "Wikaniko scam". As a retired Finance Director whose responsibilities included doing "due diligence" on potential multi-million pound acquisitions I thought I should attempt to set the record straight.

When I first looked at Wikaniko back at the end of 2008 it became obvious that I would be required to invest three things in order to build a business.

1. My money

2. My time

3. My reputation

The investment for joining Wikaniko is just £48, and is covered by a statutory 14 day money back guarantee. I therefore decided to invest the £48 and begin my due diligence.

The initial £48 fee gives the new distributor their own website including an online shop, and “back office” which in itself I considered excellent value for money. The starter pack which arrived a couple of days later contained a selection of catalogues, as well as a very useful CD containing stationery, tools, and draft advertisements.. Full training is provided free in the back office.

Distributors can purchase, for their own use and for resale to customers, a large range of green, organic products at wholesale prices, effectively saving 25% on the already reasonable retail prices. Additional discounts can be earned for larger orders. No stock need be kept, as orders are all fulfilled promptly. Wikaniko does not operate any compulsory “autoship”.

A distributor placing a regular monthly order of around £20 wholesale would more than cover their initial investment, even if they chose not to build up a customer base.

With my background in recruiting, training, and managing project teams, the ability to build a team, by introducing, training and supporting new distributors, was very attractive.. A small commission payment is made in return for this, the only qualification for receiving this commission is that a distributor place a 36 point order (around £40 wholesale) in the month. We have found no difficulty in achieving this every month for the past two years.

Beyond this, each distributor is able to set their own budget – there is no pressure to spend more.

As regards time, again this is down to the individual distributor to decide. Jan and I originally planned to work the business full time, but in the event personal health challenges have meant we have had to content ourselves with a part time involvement over the past two years. There are no imposed targets, and there Is no pressure. We are happy to work with any new distributor to create a plan for their business.

And so to my final investment – my reputation.

Both Jan and I guard our reputations jealously, and will not become involved in any dishonest or fraudulent undertakings. In carrying out my due diligence I considered three things, The Company, The Products, and The Compensation Plan.

The Company is U.K. based and debt free, and was founded and is managed by a couple who have an enviable reputation in the work from home industry.

We have used and evaluated a selection of the products, and are more than happy with both the quality and value for money. Orders are received on time, and in the unlikely event of a problem, it is rectified promptly. The staff at the office are a real pleasure to deal with.

The Compensation plan offers a fair reward to all involved. This is not a “get rich quick” scheme offering something for nothing. But it does give people the opportunity to build a solid, sustainable business whilst making a real, positive contribution to the future of this planet.

So, my conclusion. The Wikaniko opportunity is neither dishonest, or fraudulent. It represents a real genuine opportunity for people to start up their own business with only a small initial investment, and without jeopardising their existing income.

For a further, independent review click here.

If you’d like to discuss the opportunity further, drop me a mail, or give me a call.

Mitakuye Oyasin

Mike P

TRUE REASONS

During the recent training calls I've been hosting, I've had many "lightbulb moments", not the least of which came from a contribution by Roy. I've often heard it said that we need to have a need or a desire, a powerful reason to keep us going when the going gets tough.

But Roy used a different expression - he called it a TRUE REASON
.
Now that set me thinking because I've always had difficulty defining my "Why" - sure I could come up with vague ideas like "I want to make a difference, or I'd like to help people start their own business, but try as I might I simply couldn't hit the nail on the head. I could say I wanted a new car, or a home nearer the sea, my own transport museum , a huge model railway, but these were all "nice to haves", they weren't burning desires. I couldn't come up with a real personal desire, the thing that keeps you focused no matter what is going on around you.The following day I was re-reading a book by John Kalench, and came across a passage in which he defined his why - and I was suddenly able to define my TRUE REASON. In fact I could define FIVE TRUE REASONS.

I could have course simply typed them up and pinned them up above my workstation, but following the example of Sean Dillow, one of our team members I thought I'd stick my head above the parapet, and share them on the forum, and our Team Blog. So here goes, the headings are John Kalench's , although not in the same order, but the words are mine

1. Creativity

I love being creative and I love expressing that creativity. Expressing that creativity is the key to my own personal growth, and encouraging others to empower themselves. When I allow my creativity to flow I free my soul, and express my true self in the world. When I stifle that creativity I am no longer true to myself. I love making something out of nothing. I love problem solving, and I love helping others overcome their own challenges, not by providing my solutions, but by helping them find and implement their own solutions.

2. Recognition / Acknowledgement

I love recognition, receiving it, but mostly giving it. When I receive recognition I know that I am actually making a difference in other peoples lives, that I what I am doing is worthwhile. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than to give someone recognition for a job well done. Often you can almost see them grow in stature, self confidence and self esteem as a result.

3.Trust

Honesty, Integrity, Transparency, Loyalty, Friendship

John Kalench placed some of the above under the heading of Trust - I've added a couple more myself.

If you want someone to be completely honest with you - they have to trust you

If you want someone to be completely open with you - they have to trust you

The same applies to all the other qualities above.
If you want someone to trust you, you have to trust them.
It's a risk, but in my view a risk worth taking.

If you want loyalty and friendship, first you have to be a loyal friend

As John Kalench wrote : Only in relationships where everyone is trusting of one another is the mind free to create.

4. Contribution

I want to make a difference in peoples lives. A BIG difference in a lot of peoples lives.
There are many opportunities out there to make a difference in peoples lives, but for me their can be no bigger difference than helping to make this planet a cleaner, safer place for everyone.

5. Money
Perhaps there are some people who, like John Kalench, would put money at the top of the list. I include it, because in this day and age it is virtually impossible to achieve anything without it. But when is enough, enough ? For me money is simply an energy, a tool which enables me to operate here on this planet.
I firmly believe that if I allow my creativity to flow, recognise and reward all those who share my passion, and help them build their dreams. If I build honest, trusting, open relationships with these people, and focus on making a contribution, rather than on my own survival, then I will always have enough to meet my needs. For me that is true abundance.

Just after the death of Howard Hughes, the millionaire, someone asked, "How much did he leave ?" The reply ? "All of it !!"

So, there you have it my FIVE TRUE REASONS ....

Now to restate my goals, and my commitments for the next 90 days.

Mitakuye Oyasin

Mike P

Wikaniko Co-operative Club

This week Wikaniko introduced it's new Co-operative Club, which is free to join for the first year, and allows it's members to choose from over 850 eco-friendly products at wholesale prices.

Now it is even easier to help us make a difference by changing over to top quality eco-friendly products that are safer for for you, your family and the planet.

Click the link below, and check out our eco-friendly store for yourself

http://www.greeneruk.biz/

Mitakuye Oyasin

Mike P

We Are The New Civilization

<div align="left" class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; Now, thanks to the Wikaniko opportunity, I have the chance to help build a whole team of "scurvy elephants". For those unfamilar with the work of Dr Wayne Dyer, allow me to explain.

Wayne Dyer was raised in series of foster homes. One evening he came home from school and asked his foster mother, "What's a scurvy elephant ?" She said that she had no idea what he was talking about, and asked where he had heard such an expression. It seems that young Wayne had overheard the school principal say that Wayne Dyer was a scurvy elephant.

His foster mother called the school, and spoke to the principal. "Oh no, " he replied "Wayne always gets things wrong - what I said was, Wayne Dyer is a disturbing element"

Down the years there have been many "scurvy elephants", those disturbing elements who held on to their truth, and their convictions, and who gladly endured poverty, imprisonment, ridicule, physical abuse, and in some cases even death, rather than give up their beliefs.

Henry David Thoreau said, “If a man loses pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured, or far away.”

In doing his research for his book, , which told the story of many of these "disturbing elements", Wayne Dyer concluded that the majority had three things in common. The three characteristics of what Abraham Maslow called "self actualising people"

I believe that when the history of Wikaniko is written, the most successful distributors will be seen to have had these three characteristics.

First, they are "Independent of the good opinion of others". They are more than happy to step to the beat of their own drummer. As Wayne Dyer put it, "Be sure you’re stepping to the music you hear—no matter what other people think. My understanding of the13th verse of the Tao Te Ching is this: it’s crucial to remain independent of both the positive and negative opinions of other people. If you gain their approval, you’ll become a slave to outside words of praise. If you gain disfavor, you’ll spend your life trying to change other people’s minds about you. Either way, you lose your selfhood. If you want to follow your passion, be independent of the good opinion of others. Give yourself permission to two-step, march, waltz, or boogie to your own beat."

When we are sharing the Wikaniko opportunity with others, we are going to encounter many people whose opinions differ from ours. We may even encounter a few who are downright hostile. But then they are merely expressing their opinion, based on their point of view. How do we become independent of their good opinion ? In my view by developing a strong confidence in the core values of Wikaniko, and in its products. And, again in my view, this can only come from personal experience. Anyone who comes into Wikaniko and doesn't transfer at least some of their personal monthly spend to their own Wikaniko shop, from my point of view, simply hasn't understood the concept.

Second, Maslow wrote, they are "detached from outcome". They focus clearly on the process not on the results. They have both eyes on the purpose, and not one eye on the reward. Neale Donald Walsch once said "Gandhi moved through the space seeking a result, but not requiring one, desiring an outcome but not demanding one. I firmly believe that if we focus on getting the right information out there, and supplying the right products at the right time, and back that with that firm conviction that only comes from personal experience and belief, the sales and the rewards will follow automatically.

Lastly, said Maslow, such people "have no investment in power or control over others". Everyone in Wikaniko is responsible for running their own business - and as such team leaders can only offer support and guidance. It's been my experience from many years managing teams that loyalty and respect cannot be bought, or gained through fear of loss, they have to be earned. Wikaniko offers me, as Team Leader, not the chance to have power and control over others, but to actually share with them the power that only comes through strength of numbers. And to exercise that power for the good of all.

Years ago, when I first began to write, and post my writings on what were then E Groups, I would anxiously "hatch" the computer, waiting for the kind words of others on the forum, dreading the poor comments, but worse still hating it when my post seemed to be ignored. Then I listened to the contents of that Wayne Dyer tape that I have just shared with you, and began to integrate those characteristics into my life.

Now I don't feel the need to defend my position, which means I give up the need to make others wrong. I can focus on doing the things I love doing irrespective of the outcome they produce.

Wikaniko is co-operative marketing, not competitive marketing, if we all pull together then we can achieve more, much more, than as individuals we can ever dream of ... We can become "disturbing elements" in our families, with our friends, and colleagues, and in our communities, marching to the beat of a different drum, and deliver our message - that as a race we must stop abusing this planet, or join the dinosaur and the dodo in extinction - through , as Gandhi said, our lives lived.

As Bayard Rustin wrote "Every community needs a band of angelic troublemakers"
Just like Amway, I can see Wikaniko becoming more than just another work from home business, I can see it becoming a way of life.

Remember Gandhi said that "We must BE the change we seek", not "We must do the change we seek"
But then being rather than merely doing is a big enough topic for a later post ...

For now I'd like to close with these words from our archives ... the source is lost in the mists of time.

"DIFFERENT DRUMS - DIFFERENT DRUMMERS"

If I do not want what you want, please try not to tell me that my want is wrong. Or if I believe other than you, at least pause before you correct my view. Or if my emotion is less than yours, or more, given the same considerations, try not to ask me to feel more strongly or weakly. Or yet if I act, or fail to act in the manner of your design for action, let me be.

I do not , for the moment at least, ask you to understand me. That will come only when you are willing to give up changing me into a copy of you.

I may be your spouse. your parent, your offspring, your friend or your colleague. If you will allow me any of my own wants, or emotions, or beliefs, or actions, then you open yourself so that some day, these ways of mine might not seem so wrong and might finally appear to you as right for me.

To put up with me is the first step to understanding me. Not that you embrace my ways as right for you, but that you are no longer irritated or disappointed with me for my seeming waywardness. And in understanding me , you might come to prize my differences from you, and far from seeking to change me , preserve and even nurture these differences.

I believe that the human race is facing the possibly the greatest threat ever to its survival. How do you want to be remembered ? As part of the problem, or part of the solution ?

Mitakuye Oyasin
Mike P

Which one are you ??

Are you an observer or a visionary ??

What's the difference ??

I believe that Robert Kennedy put it best :

Some people see what is, and ask "Why ?"
Others see what could be, and ask "Why not ?"

Humankind has been given a fantastic gift - imagination. Einstein once wrote that Imagination is more important than knowledge. Imagination gives us the power to see what others cannot see, to see beyond what is, and recognise the potential as yet untapped. How many of our ancestors had observed round berries rolling across a surface, before one of them noticed that the berries moved much easier than a square edged chunk of stone, and had the vision to create the wheel ? How many people had observed a kettle of water boiling over a fire before James Watt had the vision to realize the potential of the power generated by the steam, and set about harnessing that power through his steam engine ? Thus the industrial revolution was born. Others like Robert Stephenson had the vision to put the two together, and the Railway Age began.

There have been visionaries since time began. What did they have in common ?

As George Michael sang, "You gotta have faith".

To quote from the Bible "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" - Heb 11:1 .

They had the deep faith in their vision which enabled them to overcome all obstacles, and make their vision a reality. After over forty years as a boring, pragmatic accountant - and latterly Finance Director of a leading edge I T company, very few "work from home" business opportunities have ever captured my imagination, and even fewer have passed through the rigorous "due diligence" process which followed.

My first introduction to network marketing, or MLM, was in the early nineties when I was introduced to a company which by then had been running for over thirty years. The company was the vision of two succesful entrepreneurs, Richard M DeVos, and Jay Van Andel, and, if you haven't already guessed, it's name was Amway. From humble beginnings in the basement of their homes, staffed only by their families, it quickly expanded and they acquired their first premises, a disused service station. By the time it was brought to my attention it had grown to a billion dollar turnover company, operating worldwide.

When the concept was explained to me, I loved it !! The possibility of earning an unlimited income, the freedom to work when I chose, how I chose, and with whom I chose !! Harnessing the power of leverage and duplication. The simple principle of a lot of people, each moving a little product added up to that billion dollar turnover. At the time challenges in my personal life, meant that reluctantly I chose not to get involved, but I never forgot the idea, nor those core principles - in fact I used the principles of Leverage and Duplication in training and managing a number of project teams.

Jan and I got together a couple of years later, and because of her experience in Network Marketing, we were regularly pitched on the latest opportunities. The odd one passed the due diligence test, and whilst I was happy to support her in building her business, none really ever captured my imagination.

None that is until someone suggested that I take a look the newly launched Wikaniko in October 2008. Like Amway It had been founded by two highly successful entrepreneurs, and it had at its heart a simple, but powerful message. I know I sound like a broken record, but for those who haven't read my previous posts, " A lot of people becoming a little greener, would add up to a huge change for the planet". Wikaniko passed my stringent due diligence tests with flying colours - and I became an Independent Wikaniko Distributor.

Network Marketing, with those twin principles of Leverage and Duplication, seemed an ideal way of bringing about that change. Building up a network of people who themselves were committed to being part of the change, and who would share that message through their families, their friends, and their communities. I saw the mission - "to give people the information they required to make conscious choices as to how their regular shopping habits affected the health and wellbeing of themselves, their families, and the planet, and the opportunity to conveniently, and inexpensively exercise those choices".

Our Wikaniko sites both supply the information, and through the online shop, or personal delivery, give people the opportunity to exercise their choice.

I joined Wikaniko to make an income by making a difference, - and I would very much like that change, and the income, to be solid and sustainable - and since Amway are still around after over 50 years, I can't think of a more effective business model to explore. If I had to choose one thing above all others which I feel contributed to Amways phenomenal growth, and longevity - it would be relationships - personal relationships between distributor and customer, and between team leaders and their teams.

The organization grew naturally and organically, with satisfied customers recommending the products, and satisfied distributors recommending the opportunity. Simples.

Think of the tools that we now have to pass on the information, and raise awareness of Wikaniko, that those early Amway distributors couldn't even imagine possible. Internet Marketing - E Mail - Social Networking - Blogs - Articles. We just have to use them !! As Trevor is fond of saying, we just need to get enough people looking.

Charles Paul Cohn makes the point that Direct Sales involves "people to people" selling, but not neccessarily "door to door" selling.

The strategy behind the Part Work Income Plan lends itself to that Amway model too. Commit to that monthly order of a minimum 36 points - and introduce one person each month.

I'm going to close this post with a quote from one of my favourite networking books, which for me sums up the massive potential of Wikaniko, which in my view, as yet remains untapped :

"If I gave you a magic carpet that could take you anywhere you wanted to go, would you jump on board and make your dreams come true, or would you buy curtains to match, and put it on the floor"

Mitakuye Oyasin
Mike P

If ......

If the Earth

were only a few feet in

diameter, floating a few feet above

a field somewhere, people would come

from everywhere to marvel at it. The good news is that when talking to someone about joining the business, you won't be met with a groan, and the response "Oh no, not [fill in the blank] . My brother / sister / best mate / [other - please fill in the blank] got involved with that, it cost them a fortune - and they didn't make a penny.

The bad news is that Wikaniko, and its products are not yet a household name. The bad news is that new ideas, like "if everyone became a little greener, it would have a huge impact on the planet" don't catch on overnight, it takes time for them to sink in.

So the price we have to pay for being "in at the beginning" , is that we need to work harder, and longer, to establish the name and brand of Wikaniko, and to keep delivering that message until we get it across. And that takes time.

How many of the "big hitters" with those established companies joined in the past couple of years ? What do they all have in common ? They realised at the start that they were in it for the long haul. I wonder how many people who joined at the same time quickly became despondent and fell by the wayside.

People joining need to know that they are not going to join a pleasure cruise, they are going to be joining the crew, and they are going to be working hard to help build and fine tune the boat. They need to know that if they stick at it, the results will be brilliant, both for themselves and the planet. That is what I believe makes Wikaniko unique. There is a very real, worthwhile, shared purpose behind Wikaniko - beyond narrow self interest.

Jan has a saying "This is a marathon, not a sprint"

So, what's in a name ?, what's in a "brand" ? In my humble opinion it comes to represent what the organization is, and what it stands for.

For me Wikaniko stands for a unique, ethical business opportunity, in which people can not only make an income, but make a difference.

Sadly there are businesses out there who cynically exploit green issues in order to make a fast buck. We have to be very careful that Joe Public does not see us that way. Our job as "Independent Co-operative Marketers" is to work to make the name Wikaniko a househould name - for all the right reasons. Let's leave the "Harry Enfield - Loadsamoney - psst do you wanna make some money" and the "Del Boy - this time next year Rodney we'll be millionaires" where they belong - back in the Eighties.

There is another old saying in networking that if we help enough people achieve their dreams, then we will achieve ours. I believe that Wikaniko is very different from any other networking opportunity out there. The dream is absolutey huge !! I believe that if we demonstrate to people that if they truly believe in that core message of Wikaniko, and I make no apologies for repeating it, that is "a large number of people making a small change will add up to a HUGE change for the planet" , if they accept that the small change starts with them in their own homes, and they share that message with enough people, not only will their dreams come true, but everyone on this planet will live a life that many people would never even dream of.

Such is the power of networking ...

Real networkers aren't "notworkers" feeding off the hard work of others, they know that like wealth and work, the only place that getting comes before giving is in the dictionary. They also know that the only way to get value out, is to put value in.

I'd like to ask you to re-read the Part Work Income Plan, and consider this. In getting to that top position, with the income that goes with it, how many households in the U.K. would you and your team have had a positive impact on ? How many lives would you and your team have changed for the better ? And just how big a positive impact would you and your team have had on this beautiful planet of ours.

I did. And that's why, despite everything, I keep picking up the threads of our business, time and time again. And why I've never stopped sharing that core message at every opportunity I get, whether with people I meet in person, or through the Warriors site and our blog.

Mitakuye Oyasin

Mike P

Wikaniko - What's the BIG idea ??

A few years ago I.B.M.‘s advertising carried the strapline “We don’t sell computers, we sell peace of mind”

Independent Wikaniko distributors don’t simply sell a range of almost 1000 eco-friendly and organic products, they share a simple, yet powerful, idea which led to the creation of Wikaniko.

“If a lot of people become a little greener, this will have a massive impact on our environment”

We deliver that message with every product we sell.

Wikaniko doesn't profess to be 100% 'green'.

Realistically, becoming totally green is nigh on impossible in this day and age. To those “Deep Green” folks who have spurned the home comforts that modern living provides, and who adopt a “back to basics” lifestyle, we raise our hats.

On the other hand becoming ‘greener’ is a major step towards making the world a better place. We aim to create a “gentle revolution". We don’t want to ram ‘green’ down your throat at every opportunity, we aim to supply you with the information you need to make conscious choices when you do your weekly shop. Conscious choices based on accurate, unbiased information as to how those choices impact upon you, your family, and the environment around us. And , should you decide to change your shopping habits, and make different choices, we give you the opportunity to exercise those choices conveniently by supplying quality products at affordable prices.

The concept behind Network Marketing is one of a lot of people doing a little, but Wikaniko’s Co-operative Marketing strategy takes that one step further. The founders of Wikaniko, themselves having an impressive record in the work from home industry, are committed to sharing the profits with the distributors. And as the organization grows and it’s buying power increases they are equally committed to pass on those savings to customers and distributors.

In closing this post I’d like to let you into a little secret. I didn’t join Wikaniko to save the planet. Mother Earth had been around for millions of years before the human race arrived, and if we don’t change our habits she will be around for millions more after we become the architects of our own extinction. She has survived numerous cataclysms, ice ages, meteor strikes, mega volcanic eruptions. I have no doubt that she will survive her latest challenge – the human race.

I joined Wikaniko because, when I shuffle off this mortal coil, I’d like to think that I’ve done my bit to leave the planet in a fit state for my grandchildren, and their grandchildren to live on.

If you’d like to join me, and the Wikaniko Warriors, in creating this “gentle revolution”, drop me a mail, or give me a call.

I’d love to hear from you

Mitakuye Oyasin

Mike P

Wikaniko Luxury Skin Care Range

After many months of trials, testing, reworking and improving, in order to bring you what they consider are the best natural products that you can get – totally free of colourings, parabens, SLS, etc etc. Wikaniko Ltd today announced the launch of their new Luxury Skin Care range.

Wikaniko's quest to make the best products follows the withdrawal of their very popular Faith moisturiser. They asked the chemist (and his partner who is a leading toxicologist) who developed their luxury shampoo range to produce something far better than the Faith moisturiser – and better than Green People products, better than Liz Earle, better than No7 – better than anyone in fact.

They believe that he has done it in style, and then some.

Wikaniko now has its own Signature Blend!

You only have to look at the range of totally natural ingredients in these products to appreciate just how good they really are. But, hopefully we won't be so busy playing with our shiny new toys that we forget the basics .....

The Internet is awash with FREE information on almost every subject under the sun. That's the good news. The bad news is that some of it is absolutely contradictory, and it's up to us to decide what resonates with us. The real challenge is when two people who have been equally very successful in MLM / Network Marketing present diametricaly opposed information. Who do you believe ?

Last year somebody who has had a great deal of success in the Network Marketing industry said to me, "Mike, you simply don't understand this business". Strange, because I was simply modelling myself on someone else who had an equally impressive track record in the MLM industry.

I've always believed that Network Marketing is a "people" business, not merely a "selling" business - that people buy people first. And by it's very definition Network Marketing is a team effort. Experience in building project teams has taught me that it is personal relationships are the glue which binds a team together, and ensures customer loyalty..

Recently the penny dropped - I didn't understand his business, but I did understand mine - building, training and coaching people. That's what I LOVE doing, that's what gets me up in a morning.

Wikaniko is a Co-operative Marketing business. Actually I'd prefer to call it a Co-operative Marketing and Distribution business. Not a Co-operative Selling business, not a Co-operative Recruiting business.

It might be worth looking at some definitions from the Oxford Dictionary :-

Selling
give or hand over (something) in exchange for money: persuade someone of the merits of:

Recruitment
the action of finding new people to join an organization or support a cause:

Marketing
the action or business of promoting and selling products or services , including market research and advertising.

Big businesses pay a lot of money to Marketing gurus to promote their business and products.

Why ? Because they know that we are creatures of habit. Once we find a product, or business we like, we tend to stick with it, until someone or something changes our mind.

One very successful Network Marketing company was built on the premise of people being able to buy the same product they were already buying at a cheaper price.

As Wikaniko distributors, as I see it, our job is to promote and raise awareness of Wikaniko, the products and the opportunity.

We need to give people accurate information as to the damage their weekly shopping habits might be doing to them, their families, and the environment.

We need to show them that there is an alternative range of eco-friendly products, available at reasonable, affordable prices through Wikaniko.

And, we need to promote ourselves, and our businesses, because we want to be their first choice when it comes to buying those products.

The Internet is a very powerful tool for doing this, through blogs, forums, and free advertising.

But all this effort will be totally pointless unless we make a habit of regularly checking our E Mail, and voicemail.

Many very successful businesses were built before the advent of the Internet, using only the telephone, and snail mail - imagine the cost to the environment, and your bank balance of sending all the information on the website to a potential customer, or distributor by snail mail. Now you can share all this information with a link in an E Mail, or simply handing out a business card with your website on it.

That to me is the most powerful use of the Internet. There are only ten entries on page one of Google - and some searchwords return millions of results. Use the Internet to provide the information on your business, and tell your story, then make it your business to drive traffic to your site and blog.

That's my take, for what it is worth. I could of course be completely wrong.:-)

Mitakuye Oyasin

Mike Pendragon

Wikaniko Wholesale Buyer

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 125px; height: 125px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_S_8gByxaRXk/TSDwFcKI9cI/AAAAAAAAAD4/iIlG23i65kY/s320/yob.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557705916423927234" />
Do you run your own small business ? We'd been looking for something which would enable us to make a difference, as well as an income, and had no hesitation in joining.

Health issues have meant that we have not been able to give the business our full commitment until now, and as the entries on our previous blog had been sporadic, to say the least, and many are now irrelevant, I decided to totally revamp the blog for 2011, give it a facelift, and start afresh.

Someone asked recently had Wikaniko lived up to our expectations. I'd have to answer with a very definite YES !!

Orders normally arrive on time, well-packed and complete, and in the rare event of a problem - usually outside the companies control, the staff back at HQ bend over backwards to help. Cusomer service really is excellent, and after our experience with some previous companies this really is refreshing.

Similarly commission payments are calculated accurately, and paid direct into our bank accounts on time, every time, and after struggling in the past to obtain monies due from a couple of American outfits, this too is a big plus.

Wikaniko offers a full training programme online absolutely free, and there are no hysterical ra-ra meetings, filled with hype and male cows manure, beloved of our American cousins :-)

In addition there is a distributors forum, full of positive ideas, where everyone supports everyone else, once more a refreshing change from the backbiting and whingeing on other forums.

Over the past two years the team have introduced a number of iniatives to help distributors build their business. The latest the "Wikaniko Wholesaler Buyer" allows small outlets like hairdressers and therapists access to a range of products which can carry their own brand.

A couple of months ago our very own social networking site www.wiked.biz was launched , and we also have a free to list, free to sell, auction site , just like E Bay without the fees.

The list is endless, and new products and new ideas are launched every month.

We start 2011 with a team of over 300 distributors across the U.K., and I'm looking forward to working with every one of them to help them build their own businesses, and really make a positive impact on the planet.

Mitakuye Oyasin

Mike P
